Job Description:
Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (Pediatrics)
This Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide care to pediatric patients at The Children's Justice Center located in Tooele, Utah. The Center is a home-like facility serving children who may have been physically or sexually abused. The center is designed to help children feel safe and comfortable during times of potentially high stress. The atmosphere is child-friendly, with interview rooms designed with children in mind. Children visit the center while investigators and a medical team meet with them and their parents.
The role of the APP is to conduct medical examinations, assessments, and partner with the child and family care team to ensure the well-being of the child.
This position offers flexible scheduling and will be on an as-needed basis. It is anticipated that the APP will provide care an average of 4 hours per week, though hours may be variable to meet patient care needs.
Prior pediatric clinical experience is highly preferred.

Advanced Practice Providers may also participate in research, utilize evidence-based practice to improve quality patient care, protocol development, care process model development, and best practice standards for assigned patient population throughout our organization.
Minimum Qualifications
Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).

Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- and -
Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V.
- and -
Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.
- and -
BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
- and -
Other certification as required (e.g. ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP).
