Summary

Vivint is seeking a Group Product Manager for our Ecosystem team. You will lead a group of product managers in this role, and will be responsible for delivering a strategic vision for future smart home experiences. You will work with every product team across Vivint to create impactful and engaging experiences for our customers. You will partner with the UX, Program, and Engineering leads to define and drive the product roadmap.

You will be developing products, both hardware and software, that make the smart home even smarter. Vivint is applying years of experience in the home to create the world's best integrated smart home experience, including our new business area - Energy. Primary Responsibilities

  • Directing, mentoring, and leading a group of product managers
  • Create and embody a culture of "customer first" in approaching user and business problems
  • Crafting a vision and strategy for your team
  • Inspire team and management to rally behind your vision
  • Key contributor to the 1-year and 3-year roadmaps
  • Owning all parts of the product - from vision and strategy to yearly roadmaps to executing on quarterly goals
  • Establish a strong balance between discovering new product opportunities and delivering world-class product experiences
  • Build and maintain relationships across Vivint at a variety of levels from PM to Executive level
  • Monitor product performance and proactively identify opportunities for product improvements
  • Partner with the GTM team to prepare operations, marketing, sales, supply chain, and support product channels for launch

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated experience shipping customer experiences
  • Ability to influence all parts of the organization, not just your product team
  • Can independently set a vision and roadmap
  • Deliberate in cascading decisions in all directions (peers, leaders, team members)
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to coach others through ambiguous problems
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage priorities, including multiple products
  • Proven ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to clearly communicate across levels of the organization and departments in writing, orally and interpersonally
  • Comfortable creating structured solutions out of ambiguous problems
  • Demonstrates deep commitment to solving customer problems and empathy for the consumer

Required Education/Experience

  • 5+ years leading product management teams
  • Hardware experience (preferred, but not required)
  • IoT experience (preferred, but not required)
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Product Design, Business, or a related field preferred, but not required

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
