In this role, you play a key part in making the USU Salt Lake Center a warm, welcoming environment for students, visitors, and employees alike. Your primary responsibilities will be maintaining and supporting our campus grounds and the interior of our building.
Position Details
Hours: 15-25 hours per week
Shifts: Regular shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
Additional Hours: Some evening and weekend work may be required

Responsibilities Campus Grounds Maintenance:
Weeding and Litter Control: Remove weeds from landscaping areas and pick up litter to maintain a clean and tidy appearance.
Lawn Management: Mow, edge, and maintain lawns to ensure a neat and healthy appearance.
Pruning: Trim shrubs, bushes, and trees for safety and aesthetic purposes.
Irrigation: Monitor and maintain irrigation systems for efficient watering of campus landscapes.
Seasonal Management: Handle snow and leaf removal during respective seasons.
Landscape Care: Work with a variety of landscapes, including planting and caring for flowers, trees, sod, and other plants.
Interior Facilities Maintenance:
Cleaning: Clean various areas such as offices, classrooms, corridors, and public spaces.
Disinfecting: Sanitize high-touch areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Vacuuming and Dusting: Maintain clean floors and surfaces by vacuuming and dusting regularly.
Trash and Recycling: Remove trash and manage recycling in designated areas.
Restroom Upkeep: Keep restrooms clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
Light Maintenance: Replace light bulbs and perform minor repairs as needed.
Other Responsibilities:
Undertake additional tasks as directed by campus management.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Service Orientation: Ability to consistently meet high standards of service and maintain a positive attitude.
Reliability: Dependable with a strong work ethic and punctuality.
Work Authorization: Must have the legal right to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
Landscaping Experience: Previous experience with landscaping tasks, including mowing, pruning, and irrigation.
Janitorial Experience: Familiarity with cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, and restroom maintenance.
