POSITION SUMMARY:

The Companion Sales Associate is for directly assisting Sales Territory Managers while learning the Companion products, services, and sales process. This position will act as a utility player, filling in for various Sales Territory Managers while on leave as well as open positions that may arise nationally. This is a hybrid position as well as a first step in become a Sales Territory Manager. *Candidate must be willing to relocate to when management feels they are ready to become a Sales Territory Manager and a territory becomes available.

Sales

-Understand the Consultative Sales Approach

-Ability to be coached, learn and retain information, and develop sales skills

-Openness to take on more responsibility as management sees fit

-Be comfortable with prospecting, meeting in a professional manager with veterinarians and staff, and complete demonstration of products

-Desire to become a best-in-class sales professional in the veterinary space

-Desire to participate in a "Sales Rotational" program learning various aspects of outside and inside sales

-Interested in traveling for up to 1 week at a time across the U.S

-Availability to relocate as necessary when available Sales Territory Manager position becomes available

-Enthusiasm to earn compensation based on performance

Experience

  • Some sales experience or equivalent education ideal

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in in Business, Marketing or related field required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel

  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Typical work-related travel assignments range 3-5 days, and as such overnight, out-of-town stays are required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Physical Demands: Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hear. Office deskwork requiring sitting, walking, using phone and computer.
  • Variable time spent standing during presentations.
