Overview
The Biology Tutor position entails providing academic support to students enrolled in BIOL 3060 at the USU Brigham City Campus. Successful candidates will possess a strong command of the subject matter and a proven track record of excellence in the field. A prerequisite for consideration is proficiency in the relevant academic discipline, along with completion of a Biology course aligned with the tutoring responsibilities.


Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with instructors to understand course materials and identify students' academic requirements.
  • Maintain punctuality by adhering to scheduled tutoring hours.
  • Foster a supportive and conducive learning atmosphere that values respect and comfort.
  • Encourage engagement and participation through active learning strategies during tutoring sessions.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of laboratory facilities.


Qualifications
  • Demonstrated course proficiency verified through academic transcripts and interviews conducted by committee members.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with adept interpersonal abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Capacity to establish rapport with students and employ appropriate tutoring techniques tailored to individual needs.
