Job Description: Product Owner, Metrology Software
Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence (MI) is the number one provider of Metrology software worldwide with leading brands including eMMA, HxGN Robotic Automation, Inspire, Nexus, PC-DMIS, QUINDOS, Q-DAS, SpatialAnalyzer and VGSTUDIO MAX. Metrology Software offers a comprehensive portfolio, supporting our leading position in Metrology worldwide, making MI recognized experts in the domain of discrete manufacturing.
The Product Owner role in Metrology Software (MS) will lead one or more MS product scrum teams, collaborating closely with the Product Manager and Software Architect for the product, to coordinate the execution of our product roadmaps.
She or he will drive their team on a transformational journey towards operational excellence with a high level of agility and velocity, while simultaneously raising employee engagement, empowerment, and satisfaction. The successful candidate will have big ideas and strategies, along with an exceptional history of building and driving development teams that have consistently exceeded planned objectives.
This position will report directly to the Director of Product Engineering in Metrology Software.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Help to lead an agile team in pursuit of the product business objectives while maintaining a high-level of employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Lead team scrum meetings to define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities, and communicate with stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with internal and external contacts to analyze needs and align the product roadmap to strategic goals.
  • Work closely with the Product Manager and Software Architect to create and maintain the product backlog.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Agility as it relates to Software Development, putting it into practice within the team while also complimenting it with other frameworks (SAFe) and best practices that will contribute towards the team's excellence.
Required skills and qualifications:
  • Five or more years of experience in a product development role.
  • In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies.
  • Understanding of business value related to features and functions.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline
  • Proficiency with project management tools and technology
