Job Description:

The Imaging Coordinator II supports the manager in accomplishing the mission of the organization by leading frontline caregivers to ensure optimal; safety, quality, satisfaction, engagement, compliance, operations, staffing, processes, efficiency, training, mentoring, etc. Role may include one or more imaging modalities. Fundamentally coordinates the daily team or department activities.

Shift details:

  • 8 hr x 5 days a week
  • Dayshift - may have need to work holiday, graveyard and weekends

Scope

Primarily Coordinates advanced teams in Trauma level hospitals or large blended teams in Community level hospitals. May also include large multi-facility departments of significant size.

Core responsibilities of this role include:

  • Ensures patient, caregiver, and guest safety and satisfaction in accordance with existing principles and standards.
  • Ensures provision of high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic Imaging services in an operationally effective and efficient manner.
  • Promotes caregiver engagement and team initiatives. Assists in hiring, orienting, training, staffing, retaining, evaluating, and motivating competent engaged caregivers.
  • Maintains positive relationships within the department and facility including other departments, Radiologists, referring physicians, and customers.
  • Early adopter, exemplar, implementer, super user, problem solver, champion, and idea generator.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Professional Clinical Certification/Registration, i.e.; ARRT, ARDMS, etc.
  • Current state Rad Tech License (if required for clinical discipline)
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • 2 years technical/clinical experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Five years of radiology experience.
  • Two years of supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
  • Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
  • Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
  • May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$44.43 - $68.57
