Job Description

If so, then consider joining our team. DEA's Surveying and Geomatics team is looking for a Business Development Leader to lead our growth in our Utah Market. This person will be a champion of market growth, will monitor regional net fees, and will oversee business development spending in the market.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting in the development of market strategy with the Client Leaders in Utah market.
  • Helps determine the strategic allocation of resources, the visibility/brand within the market, new market and client growth, and assesses market technology trends.
  • Performs regional sales forecasting and works with Client Leaders to coordinate long-term net fee forecasts.
  • Serves as the principal-in-charge/project manager when appropriate.
  • Supports Client Leaders, including connecting with clients when a more senior presence is needed.
  • Supports and coaches Client Leaders and build teams and is responsible for the performance and management of the client leaders.
  • Engages in recruiting and retention efforts to see that DEA hires the best possible talent and supports processes that encourage staff longevity.
  • Responsible for regional sales goals and managing business development costs in the Utah region.
  • Possible supervision of staff.
  • Collaborates with other business units in the region
  • Works with other market leaders and marketing manager to develop the market in the Utah region.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in Utah
  • Successful track record of winning projects in the Utah market

Desired Qualifications:

  • Project experience with Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) or other local cities and counties.
